After a disastrous start to our holiday at another “resort” (see my review), we walked the beach to look for an alternative hotel and decided to check into Kiwenga Beach Resort. Great service from Victor (Manager). We got a brand new room. Very recently completed. Modern, stylish and everything we needed. They organised a taxi to take us to the “other resort” to check-out and bring to the resort. 3 x public pools (and private pools at some rooms) 3 x restaurants Gym Spa Tennis court Excursions (although maybe better to haggle on the beach for better prices) On beach jacuzzis On the beach direct access Walking distance to other local restaurants and the ll Pontile pier bar (see my other review) & restaurant (worth a visit during happy-hour) Great personal service from Zabron (Restaurant Manager from the restaurant) as we was introduced to him when they heard my wife is Vegan. Came to chat every time he saw us and even had the chef prepare special vegan food for my wife. (A couple of times) Angela (Customer Service) came to speak to us every time she saw us to ask how everything is going. I even remember everybody’s names (a first for me). That is how interactive all the staff is. If I had to be critical (and had to think hard for one), I would have loved a pool-menu and service to order “small eats” but this is definately not a deal breaker. Can definately recommend and will go back. Staff: 9/10 Food: 8/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Maintenance: 9/10 Value: 9/10 Overall: 9/10 Hotel security on point as they ensure guests don’t get harassed (to much) by private local excursion sales people. Another great supporting gesture by the hotel is to allow the community to sell their products around the pool area on a Friday evening. This also allows customers to browse in a calm, relaxing environment and to buy from the locals. Really nothing bad to say and had a lovely 6-days here.

We had a fantastic 10-day family holiday. The hotel's location is right on the beach, which is cleaned every morning. At this time of year, there was some seaweed, but not too much. The hotel's territory is very green, featuring a few turtles and parrots in the yard and cages, as well as many large wild lizards (guru-guru) roaming around. The kids were amazed. We had two separate rooms. One was very large in a bungalow with two apartments next to the beach and the sea-water pool. The second was also well-sized, about 100 meters from the beach. We enjoyed all three restaurants. Each is worth trying, but the African one was a very pleasant surprise for everyone, including the kids. More than anything, I would praise the staff. They are all very kind and friendly, always trying to help and doing their best for the clients. Thank you all for the incredible memories: the reception team, client manager Angela, and Zabron, the big boss of the main restaurant! We celebrated our son's 7th birthday, and in addition to the famous "Jambo Bwana Hakuna Matata - Happy Birthday" song and the cake, which everyone gets from the restaurant team, we were allowed to use the romantic beach boat as a private venue. It was beautifully decorated and reserved just for us. This was the best child's birthday celebration out of all 40 attempts so far. Local people on the beach can generally be trusted, at least for booking reef excursions with a small booking fee. From our experience, the price should not exceed $10 per person or $30 per boat. I recommend bargaining for everything, as a price reduction of about 50% can usually be achieved. Every person on the beach will try to sell excursions and taxi services, which can be annoying, but also useful if you plan to travel somewhere. Usually, it is cheaper to book with one of them and then negotiate with the same person or driver for the rest.

I recently had the pleasure of staying with my family at Kiwengwa Beach Resort, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our visit was nothing short of perfect. I would especially like to commend Angela and Victor for their outstanding service. Angela was incredibly attentive and always ready with a friendly greeting and helpful suggestions. Her professionalism and knowledge of the local area and genuine care for guests truly stood out. Victor, on the other hand, was always available to assist with any requests, no matter how big or small. His professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction. The suite was immaculate and well-appointed, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of maintaining the suite each day, ensuring everything was spotless and well-stocked. The on-site dining was another highlight. The restaurant offered a variety of delicious options, and the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. The dining staff were also exceptional, always attentive and accommodating. In summary, my stay at Kiwengwa Beach Resort was exceptional in every way. The fantastic facilities, combined with the remarkable service from Angela, Victor, and the entire team, made it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a superb stay with top-notch service. Thank you, Kiwengwa Beach Resort, thank you Angela, thank you Victor, for making our visit so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future!

We are travelling a lot and Kiwengwa Beach resort was really one of our best places. Everything was amazing and upon our expectations. We booked a swim up room with a nice pool and ocean view. Resort has everything what you need for a relaxed vacation. Food was good, variety of food. All inclusive is a best option. Everywhere is very clean and housekeeping is taking a good care of the rooms. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, from the check in to check out. We also booked an excursions directly in the hotel, prices were reasonable. But the cherry on a cake was Angela, the hotel manager, who made our stay a lifetime memory. From the beginning she was always ready to answer any question and did everything possible to make sure that we were all happy. She also organised a surprise for my birthday. After dinner all the staff came with a cake and sang a Jambo song. So touching ❤️ A big thank you to everyone in Kiwengwa, we will definitely return!

Highly recommend the Seaview King Suite with private pool. All the amenities needed are provided, the interior villa is beautifully designed with traditional and contemporary touches and the air con temperature is perfectly set. You walk straight out of the beachfront facing private pool villa onto the white sand beaches of Kiwengwa and it's just bliss. Couldn't ask for a better location or better proximity to the most gorgeous waterfront and a floating jetty overlooking the purest aquamarine waters that is simply heavenly.
